Atha Fong Co-President
Atha Fong is a co-president of TECC and has been part of the organization since 2007. Atha will graduate in June 2010 with a BA in History and a minor in Economics. She was a TSI volunteer in Danfeng, Shaanxi, during the summer of 2007. She was inspired to help expand educational opportunities for everyone, and, upon returning to Stanford, she joined TECC Stanford as part of the Fundraising team. As co-president, Atha hopes to grow TECC, spread its mission, and make real change in education in the US and China.

Xinpeng Huang Co-President
Xinpeng is a second-year Electrical Engineering Ph.D. student at Stanford, having received dual degrees in Electrical Engineering and Physics at MIT in 2008. After joining the TECC team in late 2008 because of the organization's devotion to service and focus on China, he was a project leader with specific emphasis on curriculum innovation and development for TSI. He loves interacting with our counterparts in China and is passionate about working closely with them to expand TECC's impact and reach. As co-president of the Stanford chapter, he will be consolidating the Stanford network, strengthening TECC's infrastructure, and increasing the presence of TECC in the United States while continuing to improve TECC's ongoing work in China.

Alice Wang Chair, The PEACH Fund
Alice Wang will graduate in 2010 with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Studio Art. After traveling to Yuzhong County, in Gansu province during the winter of 2004, she was inspired to do something about the gross inequality she saw in the rural schools and homes. Her Junior year of high school, PEACH: Promoting Education in Rural China, which matches students with sponsors who can support their education, was born. Alice is currently exploring different models for affecting social change, both within traditional non-profits and entrepreneurial organizations. She hopes to make discovering the best way to promote collective action for community-building her life's work.

Joseph Lau Co-Chair, TECC Summer Institute Department
Joseph is a junior majoring in Computer Science at Stanford University. He has spends a lot of time in China, including a community service oriented program that works with school children in rural China. Convinced that the current education situation for rural children and minorities can be improved, Joseph works to help send volunteers and curriculum to China every year for TSI.

Mengli Yang Co-Chair, TECC Summer Institute Department
Mengli Yang is a sophomore majoring in Biomechanical Engineering. She joined TECC in 2008 and went to TSI Datong, Qinghai during the summer of 2009. The TSI experience motivated her to contribute more to improving rural education in China. Her goal is to make TSI a better experience for the volunteers, local students, and teachers.

Co-Chair, U.S. Projects Department Max is currently a junior working towards a degree in psychology with a minor in computer science. Max is interested in working to improve education, especially in underprivileged areas. After traveling to Qinghai with a TECC Summer Institute in the summer of 2009, Max decided to get more involved with TECC Stanford. As co-chair of the new U.S. Projects department at TECC, Max is excited about the opportunity to leverage the international nature of TECC to benefit education both in China and in the U.S. |

Officer, U.S. Projects Department May Hnin Soe is a junior at Stanford University pursuing a B.A. in Economics. She believes that joining TECC is a great opportunity to meet like-minded people who are also interested in education and using technological tools to enhance education. She is excited to be involved in projects that will have long lasting impacts in the lives of many, and looks forward to participating in TSI. |

Co-Chair, Fundraising Department Alice is a junior at Stanford University. She is interested in social entrepreneurship, education, and Chinese culture and thinks that TECC is a perfect combination of these. She is excited to be part of TECC and wants to help bring about social change in China. |

Co-Chair, Fundraising Department Su Chen graduated with a B.S in Mathematics in 2007 from Peking University, China. Now he is pursuing a Phd degree in the department of Statistics at Stanford. He first joined TECC Beijing Team in 2006 and felt excited about being a part of it and making some difference for the kid in rural China. As co-president of the Fundraising Department, Su is devoted to helping the other departments realize their projects and making TECC sustainable and stronger. |

Officer, Fundraising Department Hello, I'm Kenan - I'm a current junior at Stanford University. Joined TECC to continue exploring about issues in China and meeting new people. In my spare time, I drive around campus on a golf cart, play frisbee golf in places I really shouldn't be playing frisbee golf in, and pig out in our wonderful dining halls. |

Co-Chair, Marketing Department Teak is a senior majoring in International Relations with a minor in Modern Languages. He joined TECC in 2009, serving as the Marketing Co-Director. As the newest created department, marketing is primarily responsible for TECC's public relations. He oversees work pertaining to the quality of TECC's image and service brand. |

Officer, Marketing Department Victoria Yee is a freshman undergraduate who really does not know what concrete thing she wants to do with her Stanford education. What she is certain of, however, is that she wants to take in all the wonderful experiences, learn from them, and live life like a work of art. Cheesy--she knows. She hopes TECC will strengthen her interests in social entrepreneurship, accessible education, and service. |

General Member Huy is currently a sophomore pursing a degree in history. His interest focuses on the issues of education policy and civil rights. He recently joined TECC because of his intellectual curiosity in wanting to gain an international perspective on on policy reform and implementation. He hopes to see how this possibly translates into the improvement of education policy domestically. |

General Member Ashley is currently a junior pursuing a degree in Communication. She joined TECC in the Spring of 2009 and was the only member of the Stanford team to work with TSI in Jiangyou, Sichuan last summer. She was one of the English Instructors. Ashley is very interested in international education and entrepreneurship. Aside from TECC, she is also a member of Stanford's Varsity Softball team and loves athletics. |

Advisor Ivan Lee graduated with a BS in Computer Science in 2009, and is currently pursuing his Master Degree. He traveled to Beijing, China in 2006 to study at Peking University, where he coordinated a voluntary project to teach English at an migrant elementary school. Ivan perceived a great demand for education, and would like to learn more about China's educational system and what can be done to bring such an education to a broader population. Upon his return to the United States, he joined TECC in hopes of working with other students in a concerted, coordinated effort. In his fourth year with the group, he is excited to continue to be part of the TECC team and contribute to their endeavors. |

Webmaster/Advisor Jessica Lee is a junior at Stanford pursuing a B.S. in Symbolic Systems with a concentration on Human-Computer Interaction. After an unforgettable summer participating in YAPM and teaching English at the TSI Yunnan site, the issues concerning education in rural China have grown to mean a lot to her. Inspired by the huge impact and potential for growth that TECC has as an organization, Jessica is excited to collaborate with an international network of like-minded students in making a difference in the world. |
